When you guys are out in the local desert, be looking for this plant.

The Desert Trumpet.

The desert trumpet is a native plant of Arizona. It grose in highly mineralized areas. Like the red dirt you find in Arizona. Some of the local desert has a lot of red dirt.

An old timer told me if I see or come across this plant, there is a good chance I will find gold in the dirt it is growing in.

So being the skeptic I am I thought I try to test this theory? So I set out to make it a point to look for this plant every time I was out hunting for gold in the local desert.

Well the first time I ran across this plant I dug up two shovels full of dirt and took it home to pan out.

Got home and classified it down to a manageable amount and low and behold I got GOLD. Not a lot of gold just two flakes but I got gold nevertheless. Hummmmm

So there has been three times I have run across this desert trumpet plant and three times I have got nice gold in the dirt it lives in.

Also the site the club is looking to claim has a "LOT" of these plants growing all throught the washes and you already saw the pictures
"I hope".

So I am letting you all know a little old timer’s secrete passed down to me. Next time you’re out looking for the yellow stuff. Look around for this plant the Desert Trumpet and DIG!!

Also, where the red dirt meets the brown dirt called the contact zone the old guy told me Dig this contact zone.

He said you might find some nice gold there to.

Here's a look at the GOLD PLANT!!

Image Here it is in BloomImage

Now please do not dig this plant up. But dig all around it and Good luck.!

Great tip maybe. I'll try it for myself. I like the addition of the picture to your post, it definately helps with the recognition.

That's fascinating, thanks.
Does this plant bloom (flower) at all, therefore changing its appearance ?

Crackpot
